naiss matches and routines

you have a route.
maybe company, too.

the same direction, a similar time and someone whose plans fit. matches starts with the rides you are going to make. routines save you from entering the same plan every day.

what it does

your route first. the connection comes next.

a match compares your plan with another person’s. it needs a compatible route, a similar time and complementary roles: someone driving and someone riding. friends and people you have travelled with are prioritised, though other compatible people can appear too.

matches and routines

step by step

  1. say where and when you’re going

create the ride you plan to make and say whether you are driving or riding. if it is your usual route, create a routine with your days and times so naiss can prepare upcoming rides.

  2. see the week together

weekly matches groups compatible plans by day and ride. review what fits before making arrangements. no results means there is no compatible ride yet, rather than a reason to change your own plans.

  3. suggest sharing the ride

send a request to join or invite the other person. the recipient decides whether to accept or decline. a suggestion or a sent request is not a confirmed shared ride.

a closer look

a routine saves repeating the plan

if you go to class or work on the same days, save your usual route. the routine prepares rides for the coming weeks with those times. then review the matches that appear for each ride.

familiar people first, with room for others

existing connections provide context. naiss prioritises friends and people you have travelled with, but does not limit matches to that list. every request still needs the other person’s decision.

matches depend on people making the journey

there is no promise of finding company for every route. area, timing and role need to fit. access to matches can also vary by area; the app shows the relevant state when it is unavailable.

your questions, answered

matches and routines

see all help
can i only travel with friends?

no. friends and people you've already travelled with come first, but anyone heading your way at that time shows up too.

matches and routines
why is nobody showing up?

because no trip matches yours yet. someone has to be going through the same area at a similar time, in the opposite role to you.

matches and routines
do i need telegram?

yes, the group lives on telegram. the app is free and the link takes you straight to the group.

the naiss community
does the team read what gets posted?

yes. there are people from the team among the admins and we read the group daily, though answers come from other naissers too.
