how you earn them
you earn sparkies for every kilometre you share — but not every km counts the same. it depends on the type of trip.
why the difference?
because sparkies measure energy saved, not kilometres.

on a long trip you avoid less energy per km — part of the journey would have happened anyway. that's why you earn fewer sparkies per km. but every sparkie is worth the same: it's proportional to the real savings you generate.

if you chain several trips — less than 30 min apart and starting nearby — we group them into one for the calculation. the total sparkies don't change; they just take a little longer to confirm.
what they're worth
they're not a fixed price. their € value is set when the savings are certified and sold: we split the pot across all sparkies and keep only 10%. since every sparkie is worth the same, what matters is how many you accumulate.
