do my passengers need the app?
for photos, no. for sparkies, yes.
- for a naiss shot they don't: tag them with their phone number and we'll send them an invite. they show up by name and tabs work the same.
- to generate sparkies they do: they need the app, to be on the trip, and to confirm it from their own phone. tagging someone afterwards doesn't count.
- if your only passenger doesn't have the app, that trip generates no sparkies. you need at least two people with the app in the car.
common questions
how do they know i'm riding with them?
because they join the trip from their own phone and confirm they're there. that's the only thing that counts as presence.
my passenger has the app but hasn't verified their identity
that's fine, you lose nothing. their share and your half go on hold and unlock when they verify, as long as its batch hasn't already been sent to the ministry.
