carpool and get paid for the energy you save.
you save energy by sharing your car; we turn it into money and give almost all of it back to you. that's the CAE program (energy savings certificates).
how it works
share your car
every kilometre you share with someone is energy another car doesn't burn. and that's worth money.
we certify it
that energy saving is measured and officially certified as a CAE. companies obligated to save energy buy them.
you get paid
when they're sold, we pass that money back to you — almost all of it. we track your share in sparkies: 1 per kilometre.
why you earn more with naiss
for the same trip, you take home around 60% more than with any other app.
because we give you back 90% of what your saving is worth. most platforms keep more than half; we keep only 10% —enough to keep the app, the servers and the team running—. keeping so little is exactly what lets us pay you more.
approximate values. the exact amount depends on the savings that get certified and their price in the CAE market.
why we don't promise you a fixed amount
because it would be lying to you — and we'd rather actually pay you.
a fixed number sounds nicer, we know, but promising it doesn't make the saving real: it depends on the price the certificates sell for and on them being officially certified. so we count your share in sparkies and pay you your real share of the pot — no inflated numbers, no fine print.
so what are sparkies?
sparkies are your share of the pot, not a price.
if you're coming from other apps, you probably think in euros per kilometre:
- you earn 1 sparkie per shared kilometre (split between driver and passenger).
- when your trips are certified and paid, we divide the money across all the sparkies from that period.
- more sparkies, bigger share. your money, for real.
the important bits, no fluff
- it's real and regulated (Royal Decree 36/2023). that's why it takes time: certifying the savings is an official process.
- to take part you must be over 18 and verify your identity (DNI/NIE). the anti-fraud rules require it.
- payment depends on the savings being validated. if a trip isn't validated, it can't be paid.
- we tell you exactly what data we process and how in the privacy policy and the terms and conditions.
